QUEEEK reimagines the Ugly Duckling through a queer character constantly seeking approval. Moving through abrupt, fragmented gestures, the character repeatedly creates and breaks meaning together with the audience. Deflated balloons and bells attached to the body with latex turn the costume into a fragile extension of the character, responding to each movement with small sounds and disruptions. Recognition never fully arrives; the character keeps adjusting, performing, and asking to be read.
